We had a bit of a late start to spring this year, but hopefully now with the snow melted and the temperature quickly rising we can get a bit of rain for seeding! Also, a friendly reminder to inspect truck box corners for any treated seed when delivering to grain & seed elevators. Some people may not be aware of the risk treated seed & residues poses to livestock and humans if ingested. Grain elevators must maintain a zero-tolerance for treated seed in all grain deliveries. Health Canada has set maximum residue limits for many chemicals in grain, including those used to treat seed. Any grain that exceeds these limits may need to be condemned and destroyed.
